The history

Giovanni Castagnola, an expert shipwright, founded Costruzioni Navali Tigullio in 1974. It was an ideal laboratory for combining a passion for the sea and a love for wood.

Down through the years Castagnola boats have become a symbol of exclusiveness, perfection and reliability thanks to care for every detail, respect for time-honoured shipbuilding tradition, and constant innovation.

The credit goes to the attention that Giovanni Castagnola has always put into everything he does, ever since he began operating in the yachting sector in 1959.

From the laying of the keel to the moment of the launch, everything is overseen personally.

From the shipyard leave only boats classified with the Maltese Cross, the highest class for pleasure boats and ships, with the supervision, depending on the case, of the Italian Register of Shipping (RINA), Lloyd’s Register of Shipping, or other responsible bodies.
